Blue Striped Dress

I made this dress from the Vogue V8184 pattern, firstly in the pencil skirt version, but then decided to change the skirt to an A-line pattern I cut myself, which I think works well in this striped fabric! You can also just see the wedges I decided to buy from Topshop (I was surprised that I made another good purchase from there!).

It was also my birthday on Friday and had a family party today with these great cupcakes my sister made:

Retro Sunglasses

The next bit of my summer wardrobe to be organised has been sunglasses! I've bought two pairs already, both of which happen to be from Topshop. Last summer I had a couple of pairs of 50s cat's eye style sunglasses, but this time I wanted a pair similar to the white round glasses I've seen in lots of vintage images:

Shoes for Summer

The weather's been much nicer lately, which is making me want to sort my summer wardrobe. My plans are to make myself some A-line dresses from vintage patterns, make a couple of pairs of light cotton trousers, and buy some new cardigans. But first things first, I want some summer shoes! I am completely in love with wedges, as they are comfy yet go with nearly every outfit. I haven't decided which pair I'll buy but these are a few that I have my eye on.

Easter Cupcakes

Just thought I'd upload a couple of pictures of cupcakes I made for Easter Sunday, there were 12 but I only remembered to photograph them when some had been eaten!
